It's official. In the next film, Batman will be driving an IVECO.
The hotel had bed bugs believe it or not, so I spent the second part of the night in the cab.
Pau is another bit of scenery that comes in two parts. We'll take a look at the seeminly older central part today, and return for the industrial estate another time.
Plenty of industry here too. And those RED roofs.
A windswept bus station, dreaming of a coach simulator that never arrives.
Time to head off and find a new job, this time up in the woods near the scenery town of Dax.
A lot of green and pleasant countryside on the way.
A lot of bridges too, over roads one cannot join...
Green is definitely the colour of the day.
Dax is very nice for a scenery town that doesn't appear on the map.
Finally, that trailer piled high with logs is mine.
Back through Dax.
Logging seems like it's a thing around here.
The IVECO has really grown on me.
Crossing what seems to be an important river on the way to the Spanish border and Irun.
Scary. Hope the brakes hold.
Arriving in Irun. I have a very wierd deja vu feeling that I've already posted all of these pics, but they are not in this thread. I wonder if I put them in someone else's thread by mistake. That would be bad... Or maybe I just previewed it and then left without submitting...
Dropping off the wood for processing.
Let's check out Irun as the sun slowly sinks behind storm clouds towards the horizon.
That's it for today. The next set will take us through Spain and back towards Andorra.
Henri
Awoke to the sound of sirens in Irun, Spain.
Today we're travelling east through the border region to Pamplona and Jaca, all in Spain.
Something more from Irun first, though.
Heading out of town in a smart new paintjob with something extremely massive and tubular.
A strange and interesting structure just outside Irun.
Spanish tunnels are super-dark.
Making good progress towards Pamplona.
The industrial estate is over there. It's haunted. My game crashes every time I try to 'fly' around there with the free-movement camera after pressing 0. No pics today.
Close up of the paintjob. We just passed through Pamplona today.
Niiiice.
This is the scenery village of Yesa.
Still hauling that pipe.
The road to Jaca passes an impressive reservoir.
Arrival in Jaca. We'll drop off the pipe and spend the night here before heading north through the Pyrenees back to Pau in France.
Bonne nuit!

nice trips with great shots

Thanks very much, mission accomplished then!
Added in 21 minutes 32 seconds:
Today we left Jaca and set off for one final trip through the mountains to France.
Off to get that cargo, munching a sandwich as we go.
Another dam. Hydro power is pretty big around here. I guess the shape of many of the valleys in the Pyrennees lends itself well to such exploitation.
Picked up the load. This is a strange jobsite - you can't turn right and head up into the mountains. Instead, you have to go down the hill (so back the way we came) past the roses, go round the roundabout and then head back uphill past the dam.
Anyway, eventually we got back up again and passed through the tunnel into France.
Yet another spectacular mountain road. The village of Oloron awaits at the end.
Oloron. Pau is not much further.
Arrival in Pau. Let's check out the newer, industrial part.
Totally tropical taste!
Our destination.
Okay, which of these companies would like these fine yellow diggers? I hope one accepts them, otherwise its yet another 12000 Euro fine for me.
Diggers auctioned to the highest bigger, we picked up some chemicals in Pau. We're going to take them to Andorra.
Grim weather as we take our leave of the plant.
That's it for today... thanks for looking!
Henri
Okay, one last post from me for (hopefully just) a little while. Today we leave France for the last time (hoping to return in a few months) and make our second assault on the mountain fastness of Andorra by night, before heading down to Huesca in Spain.
It looks like our headlights are super-powerful, but I've improved the lighting in Gimp so there's at least something to look at. It was a lot darker in-game.
FEAR the POWER of my mighty GIMP-enhanced headlights!
We headed to the drop-off point in Andorra and then got some kip in the cab.
The next day saw us heading down into Spain, to the city of Huesca.
A last look back at Andorra as the sun rises above the surrounding peaks.
I guess we must be in Spain by now.
Yep. Another spectacular area of ProMods' Spain.
And another dam.
I don't think this scenery town came with a name.
Nice, though.
And a different style from the previous ones.
PIZZA, ProMods' Food of the Century.
The scenery around here seems very new.
Errrr..... I hope that's a MILK tanker.
Nearing Huesca now.
Here we are - Huesca.
Hope to be back in a few weeks with the second half of this tour. This time we'll be just staying in Spain. Hopefully PM 2.50 will be out, and Ciudad Real will be open for visitors.
Until then - au revoir!

Okay, back again after one and a half months away. 2.50 is out, and it's time to return to ProMods Spain and complete the 'portrait' of this part of the map.
I actually took this and the next set in July, but went on holiday before I got the chance to post them. Well, here goes.
Today we start off in Huesca.
It's a nice place, but can't hang around here all day.
Heading out to Vaso to pick up something from the farm.
Back to Huesca...
...and literally through the mountains on the way to Pamplona via Jaca.
Spectacular views.
Back in Jaca.
On to Pamplona.
This whole drive had a real ATS feel to it.
Approaching Pamplona.
Here are some pics I took at the industrial park before the game started crashing in that area.
Looks nice, shame it doesn't seem to like me....

Alrighty then, here's another set. Today we leave Pamplona and head NW to Bilbao.
If sets of screenshots were routinely given first names, which would - ha ha - of course, be ridiculous - but IF they were... this set would be called Jeff.
Why Jeff, I hear the incredulous reader ask? Because... of the bridges. This is the first of many.
We encountered some lovely scenes en route to Irun.
A picturesque ruin, too.
Back in Irun. I was surprised to see different trucks parked up here than before (see an almost identical shot in a previous set). I thought they were a fixed part of the scenery, but obviously not.
From Irun it's a very short hop to San Sebastian, which is where Jeff really comes into his own.
Not yet....
Ah, here we go. San Sebastian, and the stretch from there to Bilbao, is absolutely crammed with bridges.
New cargo for Bilbao.
On the way out of San Seb.
Bridges. The locals love 'em.
In places with such convoluted road networks the GPS is truly a boon. Yes, I have absolutely no doubts at all about where I need to go right now.
Did anyone say bri-...
Yeah.
Ah. Now that's a very fine example.
As...oh... another one.
Erp.
Oof. A friendly welcome to Bilbao from the local fuzz. They already seem to have captured at least one escaped prisoner.
Bilbao views, and not a bridge in si-. Wait a minute.
A final couple of shots from the residential part of Bilbao.
Tennis courts, with a fine view of the local bridge.
We'll close with some lovely palm trees. And that's totally not a bridge access ramp on the left hand side.
Next time we'll be cruisin' in 2.50. Thanks for looking!

Back again, in Bilbao, Spain. It's quite a large and relatively detailed place, and unlike in the case of, say, Pamplona, we will never return to its ProMods version again. So here are a few shots from our travels through the northern Spanish metropolis.
This one turned out particularly nicely.
Impressive structure.
After a couple of days spent in a hotel while negotiating a new job we were off again, this time with a liquid cargo destined for a construction site in Zaragoza.
It was an early morning start, and the drone had some problems with the light conditions, unfortunately. Still, gives an idea of the complexity of the Bilbao port area.
Heading towards the residential part.
Looks quite rocky here. Rocky Bilbao.
Passing through the toll gate and leaving Bilbao behind us, it's time to return once again to Pamplona via a new route.
More great mountain scenery awaits.
Glad I didn't want to take that turnoff.
San Sebastian. Just passing through.
Wow. I don't have any Jazzycat stuff right now, so this must be from the ProMods pack.
Making progress towards Pamplona.
Sadly it became one of those 'clear sky' days with nothing but harsh blue above us.
Still appreciated the scenery though.
Passing 'haunted' Pamplona (the industrial estate kept crashing the game).
Finally a close-up look at this cool structure - the Aqueduct of Noain.
It was opened in 1790, so it's not a Roman structure, but still old and rather impressive - it's over a kilometer long!
Just a little time in this set for a bit of countryside after all those city views.
Over the bridge, and the road to Zaragoza and new lands opens up ahead of us.
That's all for today - cheers!!

Today, the trek from Pamplona to Barcelona continues, mainly featuring the fine town of Zaragoza.
The ATS feeling continuous, as does the plain blue sky.
This sign greets visitors as they arrive in Zaragoza. I guess it means something like 'Zone of quiet streets, 30 km/hr limit', but not entirely sure.
Anxious to get to the job site and then hit the shops.
Richard Strauss would love this.
Time to drop off the cargo. Call...the...next...HUILANT.
Zaragoza is another town with two faces - a fairly ordinary city centre and then a modern, green and gleaming white section.
Passing through the modern part on the way to the next job.
Hey, they've stopped on the zebra. Can they actually do that?
Maybe not. The subsequent accident right before my eyes didn't give me confidence in their driving skills. Here we are inching gingerly past to the sound of crunching glass.
We're on the way to Barcelona, a city I've long wanted to visit, and so for once I thought I'd do the ProMods fanboy thing - I guess I am one after all - and pull a very shiny and smart ProMods trailer over there. It's loaded with 27 tons of awesome.
Lots of nice stuff to see in Zaragoza, but now we're on the way out of town - next stop Lleida.
Farewell and adieu, my fine Spanish scenery...
Now then children, let's play a game. Can you guess what it is from the silhouette?
Out in the countryside once more. Some very cool scenery around here.
That's it for today, next stop Lleida.

It's been a hectic few days, but back again to post the latest trip - Lleida to Barcelona.
On the way to Lleida.
Here we are.
Bad lighting struck again.
Great bridge, though.
Decided to stay the night here.
Got an early start the next morning.
Was rewarded with a short but beautiful sunrise.
What a sight. Sipping black coffee from a flask and eating an Ensaimada de Mallorca, we drove on, my heart soaring like a condor.
And then the bad lighting hit yet again. The new edition of Brutal Weather has a lot of washed out skies, it seems.
I know some days are just like that, but still. What can you do.
Approaching Barcelona. A lot of effort has gone into the signage in this area.
The outskirts of Barcelona are expansive and detailed.
Heading into town. The GPS went wierd, sending me round in an endless loop - I guess it couldn't handle the complex road network.
ProMods Barcelona is indeed a very cool city - will tour it further next time.
Cheers, Henri
