I´ve never modded anything in my life. I´m hopeless at these things.

Find on this topic how to add new ferry port, and on prefab check Ferry entrace. For adding ferry between 2 exsisting ports, just look in files in def/ferry and you will laern very fast. You even don't have to open map editor. It is good thing to start modding.
Few months ago I also had never modded anything in my life.

Is there any possibility of Ferrys from Aberdeen to Bergen and the Faroe Islands and also Newcastle to Bergen ? the later i have on a seperate mod but id like to bring my mod list down as its getting insane.

We only include ferries that exist in real life. Too many ferries create the "ferry bug" which causes jobs to become very cheap

You have my vote.

I strongly dislike ANY ferries which aren't necessary. IMO the only ferries which should stay are from and to Iceland/Faeroe/Britain and other islands which may come.
Ferries which are in the game because there isn't a land route (like from and to Finland) should stay as long as there isn't a land route. As soon as a land route has been made into the mod, those ferries should be deleted.

Some may say, 'but a truckdriver will never drive all the way around the Gulf of Bothnia when he's on a route from Stockholm to Helsinki!'
That's not my point. The point is, it's a truck -driving- simulation game, not a 'let's get onto a ferry with a truck because it's shorter'-game..

I am playing with only really necceserry ferries on all maps.
