Those are two different authors. It's not his decision to make. Also VolgaMap is no longer working if you run the Great Steppe, so it either needs to be updated or it will stay incompatible.

Too bad that this map isn't compatible with The Great Steppe anymore.

They changed the road from Saratov/Engels to Uralsk in a non-realistic way.. It's going up north, while in real-life Uralsk is east from Engels.
Uralsk is now roughly situated where Tolyatti and Samara are.
I really hope that The Great Steppe will move back to Kazakhstan

TGS was moved to match the new background map. Idk it is missplaced or not.

I think that Volga Map is actually misplaced by much. Just compare its alignment on google maps outgoing from Moscow and you'll notice right away. Toliatti should be north of Saratov - here it's east of Saratov...

Great Steppe I haven't yet seen the changes, but in ETS the point remains, that sometimes there is very little space and you have to compromise.

The problem for Volgamap is that Great Steppe has been moved from location. To ensure that they can work together again, Volga must also be adjusted and relocated. However, this will not happen soon.

Yeah, the creator explained to me. It was a technical decision. Uralsk used to be slam-dunk east (how it's supposed to be and was), which was awesome during sunsets and sunrises !
It's decisions these guys have to make. The background map sure had its issues. The mappers pushed it to the limits

I have put Volga on the bench for now. I can't remember where it was located exactly, but it should be north-east from Saratov.
I was kinda hoping that these guys would get together, create Samara and the route south to Uralsk. It looked so perfect.

For now, i will just swap them out every now and then. I do imagine how much work these guys are puting in.
Every tree we aimlessly pass has to be put there. I respect their work, a lot.

I read The Great Steppe had been repositioned, thus causing a compatibility issue when activated in conjunction with Volga map, although I wasn't sure of what is involved and how long it would take to rectify, hopefully it will happen in the future.

I do appreciate the amount of work that has to be put in to map mods to maintain compatibility and continue development, so thank you to the authors and i will respect them whatever happens to Volga map.
