ProMods Troubleshooting Guide
This guide is intended to troubleshoot your installation of ProMods if you are having issues, a guide on how to install ProMods can be found here.

A2 - Free download, less than 8 .00x files:
Using the free download method you should end up with 8 files:

• promods-vX.7z.001
• promods-vX.7z.002
• promods-vX.7z.003
• promods-vX.7z.004
• promods-vX.7z.005
• promods-vX.7z.006
• promods-vX.7z.007
• promods-vX.7z.008

Where X is the ProMods version number (Eg: for ProMods 2.52 this would be "252").
If you are missing one of these files you can download them here.
For example, if you are missing promods-vX.7z.002 you would download multipack mod archive 2 in the image below.

A3 - Free download, 8 .00x files, the archive is corrupt
First check you are extracting correctly, see A4: Free download, unsure how to extract.
Ensure all 8 .00x files are in the same folder, then try to extract file .001 again.
If that fails, check their sizes are correct:

Note that files .001 to .007 should all be 256,000KB, file .008 may be a different number than shown here in other versions of ProMods.
If a file is the incorrect size you will need to redownload it here
For example, if you need to redownload promods-vX.7z.002 you would redownload only multipack mod archive 2 in the image below.

If multiple files are the incorrect size, redownload all that are the wrong size.

A4 - Free download, unsure how to extract
Ensure all 8 .00x files are in the same folder:

Now extract only file .001 , you will need 7zip or other archive software to do so.
You should end up with 6 .scs files (Note that they may be inside another folder), plus the def file you should have downloaded earlier, confirm they have the correct size:

Note that these sizes are for ProMods 2.56 only, other versions will be different.
If any file does not exactly match the sizes above (excluding promods-def-vX.scs where X is the ProMods version), it is corrupted and you will need to re-extract your download or (if it is still corrupted) redownload the mod.
If they have the correct size (In other versions sizes may be different from shown) you can move them to C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod\ and start the game.

A5 - Paid download, file tester says the archive is corrupt
The paid download does not use the file tester. Simply extract the .7z file, you will need 7zip or other archive software to do so.
You should end up with 6 .scs files (Note that they may be inside another folder), plus the def file you should have downloaded earlier, confirm they have the correct size:

If any file does not exactly match the sizes above (excluding promods-def-vX.scs where X is the ProMods version), it is corrupted and you will need to re-extract your download or (if it is still corrupted) redownload the mod.

A6 - Paid download, the archive is corrupt
If while extracting the .7z file you recieve a message that the archive is corrupt you will have to redownload the archive from Payloadz. If you encounter difficulties redownloading, send a message to ProMail on Discord and we will try to help you.

A7 - Paid download, unsure how to extract
Simply extract the .7z file you downloaded, you will need 7zip or other archive software to do so.
You should end up with 6 .scs files (Note that they may be inside another folder), plus the def file you should have downloaded earlier, confirm they have the correct size:

B1 - 7 .scs files are not in C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod
The game looks for mods in C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod ensure they are in this location unless you have specifed to load them elsewhere by adding a -homedir flag in launch options.

Note: If you are using Truckers MP you still need to put ProMods in C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod, never put them in C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\ETS2MP\mod!

B2 - There are 6 or less SCS files in mod manager
Likely you are missing the definition file, if you have these 6 files:

You need to move your definition file (promods-def-vX.scs where X is the ProMods version) from wherever you saved it to C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod before starting the game. If you cannot find it you will need to download a new definition file here:

Once you have downloaded a new definition file, move it to C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod before starting the game.

If you are missing another file, it is most likely left behind in the folder where you extracted your download. If you cannot find it you will need to re-extract your download or redownload the mod (See Section A).

B3 - ProMods is missing while using Truckers MP
Truckers MP uses it's own mod manager, ignore the in-game mod manager and proceed to join one of the ProMods servers. See Section E if you have further problems with Truckers MP
