Promods 2.60 or 2.57 for ets2 1.42

I would like to know whether the compatibility update for upcoming 1.42 is 2.57(few or no new content) or 2.60(major update with many new content)?

Why is Promods 2.56 even incompatible with 1.42 to start with? I have older mods that work with newer versions of the game, it seems unnecessary to block the mods to only one version of the game.

This is because weve got version specific files. Weve done this to prevent compatibility issues.

Some mod makers don't use this option.

Because each and every small update changes things, ans has the risk of breaking in our mod.

We want to give our users the best experience possible. So every version undergoes testing by our two test teams. Just to iron out, hopefully, most of the bugs.
Only then we decide to release our mod to the public.

It's fine, I am willing to play like that, if it has bugs fine, but in most cases it won't, especially with smaller updates.

You would be surprised how often SCS changes things that break the game, it is for the safety of all users that our versions are locked to one specific game update.
