I need a little help with map editor

Here is my situation:


How should I connect that road the intersection? If I just click the green circle on the road and then the green square on the intersection, nothing happens. I searched around and found out that I have to hold ALT while doing it, but still, nothing happens. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? thanks

Press M (move tool), and drag the circle on the square.
If it doesn't work, do the same, but hold Alt when doing it

And if that doesn't work, check that the elevation is the same, press N and then click on the node.

Holding Alt when moving the object should actually set the node on the same height...
