Hello

I am encoutering a recurring, reproducable issue where my game crashes approximately 1 in 5 times when I zoom in or out on the map.
I did try installing a "zoom crash fix" mod however no improvements were shown, so that has since been uninstalled.
The links below include my Game Log and Game Crash text files. This was produced with only Promods, Promods ME, and Promods-supplied TGS, in the recommended order, as mods installed and has happened at least 5 times since the latest update to Promods.

Hello there,

You need Zoom Crash Fix and ProMods High Quality Map Background. Put these 2 mods above all map mods. And also put Zoom Crash Fix above the background map.

Thank you for replying and linking the mods for me.
I can confirm this fix has worked; my game no longer crashes.

I saw mentioned on another post that these crashes are caused by low memory. Is this RAM, VRAM or both?
My system has 64gb of RAM, so that shouldn't be an issue. Would purchasing a graphics card with higher VRAM also prevent the crashes without the need for these mods?
I enjoy discovering roads fully, and having the map at a lower quality when zoomed in does hinder this somewhat, especially in busy areas.

The crash is not caused by the low memory. It is caused by the game is running out of buffer. Nothing needs to be done with your hardware.

Hi, just finished downloading the new ProMods and its Middle-East addon, and after adding them to my profile that previously used ProMods in 1.47, it loads fine, but when I try to zoom out of the map, the game crashes. Tried adding the Zoom Crash Fix on top, checked buffer size if that was the problem (it wasn't), I'm running out of ideas.

Maybe try with -mm_pool_size 4384 and -mm_max_resource_size 50.
Also, you can temporarily remove the Full Screen Map for ETS2.
