Re: Truckers code of conduct
I've just delivered this 'Bad Boy', from Le Havre France to Javaskyla Finland; a bit of a tight squeeze here and there! ;) Whenever I see large pipe/cylinders on truck in ETS I always remember an old trucking cartoon I saw many years ago with a truck carting a tapered cylinder and a smart alec in a...

Re: Extreme Euro trucking videos
Tho alot is set up, they should still show all within the boundaries of the law - all that scene did is showed the viewer that she was a 'typical truck cowboy (cowgirl) with the typical "get out of my way" attitude'. Given the bad publicity the heavy vehicle industry has had over the last...

Re: Why did you choose your nickname?
I've been driving trucks for 30 odd years (started when I was 16) and I come from New Zealand

Re: Extreme Euro trucking videos
And then there's Outback Truckers - the show that informs you the drivers you should never employ. Some of the drivers are great, but most are in the "I own the road" crowd. Gives drivers a worse name than they already have (tampered speed limiters, methamphetamines, cowboy attitude etc) ...

Re: Truckers code of conduct
Do they do general haulage as well or just the heavy stuff? They do some general haulage and towing etc but their bread and butter is heavy haulage. http://www.doolanshh.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/News_Doolanshh_portheadland.jpg Pretty much anything anywhere. Not often you see a Mirage on th...

Re: Truckers code of conduct
That's a Doolans truck, their Victorian Depot is just down the road from me. They cart some massive loads around this country
Dunno how old it is (rego plate makes it about a 2006 registered truck) but there aren't many places they'd be dragging a load like that.

Re: Extreme Euro trucking videos
I was some of the guys from Ice Road Truckers series that went to India. They aired that on Discovery here as well. The roads in that TV show are way more extreme than anything you find around here thank God. Yeah that was one of the ones we got too (along with Ice Road truckers). Unfortunately lik...

Re: Money and levels
I found the easiest way to get money from the start (without cheats/mods) was just take out the big loan (as stated above) buy two trucks to go in your first small garage and put them to work. While they work run a few long runs and earn your own money. After two long jobs you (with the other worker...

Re: Extreme Euro trucking videos
I am not 100% sure but I think the bridge the person filming is using, is only for pedestrians these days. No point letting a good bridge go to waste :) Dunno whether it went global or not but for a while we had a show on in Aus which I think came from American Discovery channel where they put seve...

Re: Truckers code of conduct
I used to see a few F&R trucks on the roads in ETS but these days I see more of them on flatbeds so they are easy to beat. :) Says a lot about the quality of F&R trucks in Europe given the number I see being towed as opposed to driving under their own steam. Buses are also in fairly high num...
