I got a little bit of "real" winter in my hometown in january but then it just was a few snow patches here and there and suddenly it was... gone. I never got any snow at christmas, too But since the spring is going along for the moment i feel like it's time to say "goodbye winter"
Also, interesting idea of the topic

In my town (which has own microclimate ) I've seen snow 2 times since 25.11 (first snow this 'winter' ). On the other hand, when in my town was beautiful spring, in east Poland (near Lublin) there was 2m of snow I know that in big countries in different parts may be different weather but not in Poland
BTW, today it was 14C in my city.

Hated this winter in Iceland. We had (and still have) so much snow. In all winter we had like 5 sunny days. All the rest cloudy and a lot of snow. For the first time in my life I got tired of snow. Looking foward to see spring. But that will not happen in the next 1.5-2 months.
There were some parts of our country that had some snow :p, but here (Zwolle) we had nothing , not that I'm complaining about it. Hopefully we have a nice summer too, but I think it won't....Nico wrote:Let's create a new topic about the winter....

Been pretty warm up here in Norway as well.
From late October to early January we barely had a day it didn't rain/snow. Early December we had almost 50mc of snow, but it was all gone before Christmas. Got over 310mm in December, 160mm is normal.
After the rain stopped we had a couple of weeks with an average of about -5 degrees. Average for January ended at only -0,1C with normal being -4,7C.
February has been way off normal. Average ended at 3,8C while normal is -4,0C. In the last month we've had only 3 days where temp barely got above freezing. The rest have been around 4 to 8C during the day.
Luckily for the ski resorts around here they are just high enough to get some snow at the tops.
I take this any day over the crazy freezing winters we've had a few years back. January and February 2010 was very cold. Had 8 days that January where temps never got above -25C and bottom was just below -30 a couple of days. Average for both months ended at below -6C.
