Hi there. It seems in the rescale update (1.5 beta) for ATS, SCS has updated trains, allowing them to have articulation points, allowing long trains to follow curves. Is this functionality in 1.26 of ETS2 too? If so, will it be used in future updates of Promods? Thanks.

Yes, trains can now follow railway tracks. It's a new feature in ATS. In ETS2, DLC France will introduce trams. Trains and trams are now AI (just like cars), new railway tracks are just like roads + prefabs - that's how they made it work. So I think our devs will be able to use that feature soon

I'm excited for the trams! hope promodders will add train stations to major cities too.

I think they already have - in Chelmsford, you occasionally get (something vaguely resembling) a Class 90 and stock on the viaduct over the east of the city.

A single locomotive following a curved track in Flagstaff, has been in ATS since.... the beginning.

Single vehicles are not what makes this special; the fact that now you can have articulated vehicles of any length follow a curve is new.

Yep, THAT is the interesting part.
But how did they do that locomotive? Mover, or a precursor to articulated trains?
Or was it a preview of what to come, trains that follow curves.

That single locomotive was just a mover; the new trains are actually AI traffic.
