This is not a bug, this is me!
I was testing out a new Renault mod (Renault Premium v2.2 by Haxwell), which worked perfectly fine, apart from making the Renault Premium traffic trucks the infamous red texture. To try and solve this, I thought I was being quite clever by removing the Renault Premium traffic .sii file. However, ever since, I have experienced some of the motorway barriers (whose name escapes me...) turning white:
Any idea why this has been caused? I can provide additional information if needed.
White barriers
Could be that the material file is replaced in the mod with a material file that lights these up...
Are there any automat folders in the .scs ?

Am I developing at the moment?

I think this is pure coincidence . I've seen quite a lot of those glowing barriers on ETS2 (mainly in Germany, IIRC). I assume they exist IRL, and are probably experimental LED strip-lights or similar. I would suggest asking on the SCS forum . And if you're looking for a name - Armco is about the commonest name in crash barriers

Hmm this shouldn't be normal behaviour. As far as I know Germany should just have basic metal barriers.

Interesting......... I always thought they were part of the SCS map . Perhaps another mod conflict after all . I've seen them on odd occasions for several months, but they do (or at least they did) occur just in a few places. Something else for me to investigate .

Nope mate, this has just happened after removing the .sii file! I literally went back to the game and saw these where I was in Denmark. As you say, they're not everywhere, but just some spots in Germany and Denmark is all I've noticed so far. The name I was looking for, btw, is "Central Reservation"
Nico, sorry, forgot to say that just before starting current job, I removed the mod. Can't open the .scs file anyway, but it's obviously not the mod.
In short, I still have no idea! If you know how I can fix this, please help!

Ah, the barrier filename.....gotcha!! Won't the .scs file open even if you change the extension to .zip?

Sorry about the confusion . So if I've got it right, you've installed another copy of the Renault mod, but the game is still has that barrier bug?
