If you're willing to delve through a lot of tedium and boredom, feel free to catch up on the situation over here:

TL;DR:
After doing a whole bunch of crap to get the ETS2 folder out of my OneDrive and into my harddrive (and reinstalling the entire game), only 2 of the extracted Promods files are showing up in game, these being a file that just says the version, and the DEF. (see below) The game looked like it was gonna work without them, but it crashes on the second load every time.
These are the screenshots of my MOD manager and MOD folder:
How can I get the game to recognize the other promod extractions in the folder?
Btw, people are really mean over at Steam. If I'm missing something painfully obvious, say it nicely... please :I
Thanks, bye.
Only 2 Promods Files Showing up in Mod Manager in Game

Looks like your ETS2 still looks for the mod folder somewhere else on your computer. Is your -homedir set correctly in the Steam launch options? When you move your mods into another folder, the game will not automatically know this. Also, your OneDrive has nothing to do with this... Sorry but I think you went through a lot of trouble for nothing.

Looks like file Promods-v226 was not extracted out correctly since this file looks like a paid zip file that was mounted in Mod Manager.
It looks like also picture of files in Mod Manager is not loaded correctly. Check this also from previous post that says about -homedir.
Anyway I would recommend to post game.log between CODE tags or on pastebin that links inside this post.
You find it in Documents -> Euro Truck Simulator 2.

The Definitions file is there, but it does look like the ProMods map download has not been unpacked.
When unpacked, there should be 3 Model files, 1 Assets file, 1 Media file, and 1 Map file.

@KGlife, your game's home directory is: 'C:/Users/kirki/Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2'. The mod folder that the game uses is inside that directory. The only files in your mod folder are:
If you wish your game to use a different home directory, you must add a "-homedir" parameter to the game's launch options. You can do this in Steam:
- promods-def-v226
- promods-v226
Code: Select all
00:00:05.566 : <WARNING> [mod] Mod package 'promods-def-v226' does not contain a manifest file 'manifest.sii', creating default information set.
00:00:05.567 : <WARNING> [mod] Mod package 'promods-v226' does not contain a manifest file 'manifest.sii', creating default information set.
- Right-click on the game title in the Steam Library window, choose "Properties"
- In the General tab, click the "Set Launch Options" button
- Add the "-homedir" option and desired directory path in the box. For example, if you want your home directory to be in "E:\gamedata":
Code: Select all
-homedir E:\gamedata
