ATS Map Editor issues, cannot save map.

I've recently re-opened the map editor after a long time but have been met with a large amount of red missing textures. I have cleared out the mod folder ,and put "-force_mods" in the shortcut.

Have been following this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43jgs3u5qJY If the method differs for ATS, what the correct way to extract the .scs files?

Here's some images so you can see the issue, any idea how I can rectify this? I am on 1.39

I have briefly checked models, and they appear fine at the top at least.

Is it possible I have forgotten to do something, or done something in an incorrect way? I would rather have ALL the textures intact even if I do not use them all.

Hi, does it say specifically in the log that the textures are missing? These may just be assets that are unused and have thus had their textures removed. Thus, have you used any of these road templates and railings?

Nothing that I can see, what's worse now is that whenever I type in a name to save it, the editor closes.. Any ideas on this? I literally cannot make a map. I will try ETS2 and see what happens.

Is this a map you've built on prior to 1.39? If so, you need to do a rebuild by pressing F8 and saving the map.

No, completely new map. New installation of Win10.

ETS2 does the same thing, gets to the finalizing stage then closes. nothing in the base/map folder.

So you just opened up usa.mbd, right? Nothing in /Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod as well?

I can open Europe.mbd fine as well as Usa.mbd. What I cannot do is have an empty map, make a road and save it. When I choose save it "finalizes" then shuts down the editor with nothing in the map/base folder I have made.

That's probaby because your map file will be saved in /common/Euro Truck Simulator 2/base_map/map/[yourmapname]. You need to create a folder called base_map in your game directory, as this is a new change since 1.38

Tried base_map/map and then making a map on both ETS2 and ATS, crashes at the same point.

There is not much in the Editor log that I can see.

Are you running any mods while opening up the editor?
