Now I have a trip in the Steam version of Amsterdam to Budapest, with no other mods. So ETS2 and ETS2 go East.
Had no problem.
When Promods added and a trip from Amsterdam to Lods in Poland. Not had a problem too.
What I did notice me in the Steam version had frequently suffer from a faltering screen. The image shocked occasionally. This I had previously absolutely not.

My steam game has that same problem, it does get better with almost every update though.
Maybe you can ask you questions in de Dutch subforum too, like Jan suggests. Maybe then you can explain you problem better
