I've downloaded the latest version of Promods about a half hour ago and my game crashes every time. It was fine with V1.81 with a few bugs here and there in the map. I thought it was a conflict with another mod I was using so I disabled all other mods I am using and started a new profile to test if it was other mods or my profile but the game loads to 80% then crashes before the main menu.

If your log was too long to put in "code" then you should give us a link to pastebin.com

Def file is corrupted. This sometimes happens. Download a new one from the site, making sure you single click the "Generate" button.

I've downloaded the def file three times and the mod twice but it doesn't want to work.

Still, unless another problem has cropped up, your log indicates the def file is not loading. Check to see if the following no longer occurs in your current log:

Code: Select all

00:00:08.021 : Mounting extra package: C:/Users/Administrator/Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod/promods-def-v183.scs
00:00:08.022 : <ERROR> [zipfs] Invalid central directory offset in 'C:/Users/Administrator/Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod/promods-def-v183.scs'.
00:00:08.022 : <ERROR> Mount failed: C:/Users/Administrator/Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod/promods-def-v183.scs
If it still does, make two more posts (reply to some of the screenshot threads, e.g.) and pm me an e-mail address where you can be reached. I'll send you my, known working, def file.
Otherwise: post a new log.

Which web browser do you use, BTW?

I got it to work. Downloading with chrome instead of FireFox worked. I tried first downloading with firefox then free download manager and each time the mod failed to work so I tried chrome and it finally worked.
