I have seen before that the AI rewrite is causing map makers to repack their maps to allow the new AI coding to be integrated.

Is that the 'soon' deadline you are aiming for, as that solves two problems? Fixes for the new AI and releases new content.

You can't do both. Either you create a map that works on the current stream (1.4.x to 1.8.2.5) or you create a map for the new stream (1.9.x)
It is impossible to create a map that works on both

Guys, I suggest you aim for the future: make the new version of your map working on the new 1.9+ patch. We waited so long, can wait a bit longer to get better quality and reliability, can't we?
