ETS2 Documents Folder

Hello,

I might've deleted my ETS2 Documents folder accidentally and don't know how to get it back. I need it in order to update and add mods to my game. Does anyone know how to get this file back or how to fix this problem?

Well... If you deleted Euro Truck Simulator 2 folder from Documents, then it's in Recycle Bin. If you removed it from there, then you can try to recover your files with recovery programs.

Is there any file recovery programs that you would recommend?

Only recovery program I used in the past was Recuva but I see it's Windows only, so no idea. Just find some, type it in Google and you'll find programs + reviews.

reinstall game.. or if you use steam just launch check integrity.. it might help, only you have to start all new..

I tried to both delete local game content "Delete Local Game Content" in "Local Files," and I tried to verify integrity "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" in "Local Files." When done, and re-installing, I lost none of my data or save files and no Euro Truck Simulator 2 file was in my Documents folder.

When I launch the game, all of my previously downloaded mods are still their and my save profile has not changed. The game works perfectly, however, if I wish to install additional mods not available in the Steam Workshop, then I am unable to do so.

Does anyone know how to delete ETS2 so that I can re-install all files, including Documents > Euro Truck Simulator 2 ?

Go to Steam, Library, right-click on ETS2, choose Properties, Local Files tab and choose Delete Local Files (those may not be 100% correct but button names should be similar). Then just go to Documents, right-click on ETS2 folder and choose Delete.
