Mod's Location

Forgive my ignorance it's only been a few days since I started using mods.
I have often read that a map's mod should be put under or over another mod.
But what does that mean?

It means the position of the mod files in the "Active Mods" list of the game's Mod Manager. In general you should arrange your mods like this:

It's just that some categories are not clear to me. For example, what does TRAILER mean?
Also, what categories should they be put in:
1) DEF
2) ASSET
3) MEDIA
4) MODEL?
