Okay, here's a problem it's been reported a few times, but each of them dismissed. EDIT: It only happens with low vegetation settings.

After seeing it in my mod-filled profile, I discovered that it has been repeatedly reported and dismissed (here, here and here) so I tried starting a profile with just ProMods: there were floating again. I also had this problem in 1.7, btw. Last thing I tried was verifying the integrity of my game: no problems found.

That's weird, because as I reported last September, I had no issues with the trees in that area, and still don't :? :

As a beta tester, you get the final version from the webpage or in a different manner?

I'm currently only a beta tester in as much as I receive the latest version of the game that Steam make available.

Oh, I thought you were also a beta tester of ProMods...

My point is whether it could have to do with the compilation...

Well, last August one user did claim to have solved the problem by re-installing the mod, so it's worth trying that. Or downloading a fresh mod pack.

Please post the contents of your game.log so we can check for any other possible causes.

I don't think we could see anything in the game.log, the wasn't anything weird in it. Anyway, I'll try it. Still, I've came with an idea: could it have to do with the graphical settings selected? Cause everyone who says that there's no bug seems to have high graphical settings. Mine are low. I'll try with high settings.

Bingo!!!!

As soon as I change from low vegetation detail to high, everything seems fine. It's a problem just for low end PCs just like mine

I just did the same test, and yes - LOW vegetation settings causes that problem. Medium or high - fine. Unfortunately some players do have to make sacrifices on quality to enable a smooth game. I hope your game won't suffer too much if you can keep the vegetation setting high ;) .
